Description
This 40-hour course is aimed at mostly architects, but other engineers would benefit as well, wishing to gain a more detailed and complex knowledge to the use of Autodesk Revit Architecture and gain practical experience to confidentiality use the software in practice on complex projects. The course is delivered by one of Walter Academy’s registered ATC instructor using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions and work on real-life projects. Students will gain hands-on experience of using the Revit Architecture software on topics listed in the program. The focus of the course will be a practical application of Autodesk Revit Architecture and the students will gain necessary knowledge to create Main Architectural Design as well as As-built Architectural Project of their own projects. Great focus will be on content management and creation. This means that the students will gain necessary knowledge to create their own families within the Revit project and load them into their project. Furthermore, students will start preparation for Autodesk Revit Professional Certification. As recommended by Autodesk, upon completion of this course, students will need 400 hours hands-on experience prior to taking Autodesk Revit Professional Certification, should they wish to do so.
When it comes to pre-requisites, underlying knowledge of architectural design and drafting practice is recommended. Revit Architecture Basic course successfully completed or if students studied independently, they will be given a test prior to starting this course that they need to successfully complete. Experience of using CAD packages is advantageous but not essential. Candidates should be accustomed to working with Microsoft Windows as well as possess general computer literacy.
